Here is a video from all sky camera that captured the 1/11/11 fireball:
You can see the fireball at the 7 second mark. This may have been a late Quadrantid?

Hi!
I found your website through our local weather man … Our area in Greenwood, Arkansas has saw one of the green lights which is said to be a astroid coming close to the earth.
He shared your site on his facebook so I came to look around..
and I am astonished at your pictures and knowledge!!
I have always been interested in astronomy..I love how little we actually are compared to everything surrounding us!
Sorry for babbling..I just wanted to leave you a comment and let you know that in my humble opinion ..your site is amazing, and I will continue to check in!!
thanks!

My son saw a brilliant neon green ball in the eastern sky from south of Houston, Texas which developed a long yellow/orange flame which came to earth in the direction of the Gulf of Mexico at about 8:00PM, Central Time. He was extremely excited, said it was the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. 1/11/2011 We
have been trying to figure out what it was. Your description is very close – I’m so pleased with your site.
