Venus and the New Moon In June
by Mike Hankey, under Lunar
Here’s a photo of Venus and the New Moon.
The yellow streak in the middle left looks a bit like a squiggly meteor or a UFO, but its actually a firefly.
Here’s a closeup of the moon right before it set.

Hey Norm.
We are working on the june 24th one. Almost have it pinned down. Looks like it fell just NW of Harrisburg. There are some good candidate radar returns that are being analyzed now. Also working the plotting, trying to get witness interviews and hopefully find more data.
From the early trajectory its looking like this one might be in the Appalachian mountains. I’ll be doing a post about it tonight.
Thanks!
Mike
